Services for Elmer Richardson, 71, of Crosbyton were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1992, in Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Joy, pastor of Ralls Assembly of God Church officiating.

Burial in Crosbyton Cemetery was directed by Adams Funeral Home.

Richardson died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 1992, in Lubbock´s St. Mary of the Plains Hospital after an illness.

He was born in Hill County and moved to Crosbyton in 1942. He married Dollie Mae Swindall on July 27, 1943, in Crosbyton. He was a power plant operator for the City of Crosbyton and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, John R. and Louis G., both of Allen, James E. Jr. of Amarillo and Jimmy D. of Lubbock; a daughter, Dollie L. Barker of Littlefield; three sisters, Odean Hamm of Dayton, Truman Guderian of Houston and Eva Walker of Hillsboro; 20 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Dollie Richardson photoDollie Mae Richardson, 89, of Crosbyton passed away Monday, August 29, 2016. She was born March 20, 1927 in Royce City, Texas to Oscar and Gladys (Hinkle) Swindall. Dollie married James Elmer Richardson on July 27, 1943 in Crosbyton, Texas and they were married for 49 wonderful years until Elmer�s passing on December 20, 1992. Dollie worked in the cafeteria for Crosbyton Independent School District for 15 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and fishing, and loved to travel, as long as she was able to. Dollie adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Elmer; two sons; James E. Richardson Jr. and Jimmy D. Richardson; her sister; Glenda Feree; two brothers; Oscar Berry Swindall Jr. and Henry Alvin �Si� Swindall; and her grandson; Robert �Rob� Rule.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Dollie Louise Barker and husband Monte of Littlefield; her two sons; John H. Richardson and wife Cora of Cedar Park; Louis Gene Helmick Richardson and wife Peggy of Garland; her sister; Ann Sanders and husband James; her daughter-in-law; Rita Richardson; sister-in-law; Ruby Swindall; brother-in-law; Don Feree; twenty-one grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, August 31, at First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, with Rev. Vance Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Visitation will be held from 6-7 pm on Tuesday, August 30, at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
