Obituary

  CROSBYTON (Special) - Graveside services for Frank Aaron Ray, 79, of Dickens were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Ned Hicks of Spur officiating.

Burial was under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Ray died Friday, April 19, 1996, at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

He was born Jan. 6, 1917, in Texas. He married Jenny Foust on Dec. 7, 1956, in Crosbyton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and he was a member of the Church of Christ. He moved to Crosbyton from Dickens in 1996.

He was a mechanic, and he had worked as a furniture upholsterer and at the City Barber Shop.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry Ray and Doug Ray, both of Bard, Calif., and Jimmy Doe Jones of El Paso; three daughter, Bonnie Harkins and Linnie Shreffler, both of Lubbock, and Vikki Evans of Huntsville, Ala.; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
