Hermelinda Martinez Quintero, 65, of Crosbyton, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2005 at Lubbock.

Rosary was held at 7:00 PM Monday at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Mass was celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday in the same church with Rev. Jesse Cruz officiating. Burial was in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Mrs. Quintero was born June 14, 1940 in Mission, Texas to Catrino and Guadalupe (Hernandez) Martinez. On January 9, 1956 she married Raymundo Quintero in San Juan, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the San Jose Catholic Church and had lived in Crosbyton since 1973. She is preceded in death by a son, Cesar Quintero and a sister Maria Perez.

She is survived by her husband Raymundo of Crosbyton; 2 sons, Gilbert Martinez and and Raymond Quintero, Jr. both of Crosbyton; 8 daughters, Norma Sanchez, Julie Ramirez, Christina Ramirez, all of Lubbock, Nelda Valdez of Midland, San Juanita Arredondo of McAllen, Linda Rejino of Levelland, and Estella Reyes and K'Cie Rodriquez, both of Crosbyton; 3 sisters. Olivia Magallan of Mission and Ernestina Diaz and Dora Yanez, both of Galveston, 24 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Jose Albert Arredondo, Ernesto Alonso Arredondo, Adams Lee Salazar, Toby Lee Salazar, Jose Luis Quintero, Sam Rijino, Benjamin Rodriquez and Felix Valdez.
