Funeral services for John Howard Quattlebaum, 63, were held Tuesday in the McAdoo Methodist Church, Rev. William McReynolds, Spur, officiating.
Mr. Quattlebaum died Jan. 8, following a lengthy illness. He had resided in an around Amarillo for 40 years. He had lived in Spur since 1954. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Born in 1898 in Collinsville, Texas, Mr. Quattlebaum married Miss Anna Butterfield in Estaline, Texas in 1919.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Marion Davis, San Angelo, Mrs. Evelyn Crawford, Morton; Mrs. Doris Landry, San Antonio; Mrs. Anna Howell, Navasota; two sons, John E. Quattlebaum, Spur; William E. Quattlebaum, Amarillo; three brothers, Rev. J. O. Quattlebaum, Jr., Dallas; E.V. Quattlebaum, Clarendon and E. H. Quattlebaum, Amarillo, two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Stinson and Mrs. Bertha Edwards, both of Amarillo. Twelve grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers were Coy Power, Ellis Power, Clyde Crosby, Johnnie Wooley, Rusty McWilliams, Raymond Harris and Garland Hardin
Interment was in Crosbyton Cemetery.
