Mrs. Ellen Nancy Pyron, one of Crosbyton´s older citizens at age 90, succumbed about 4:05 p.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a prolonged illness.The deceased had resided in this community 55 years.
Elder L.H. Handley conducted funeral rites at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Primative Baptist Church in Crosbyton. King Funeral Home directed burial in Crosbyton Cemetery.
Surviving are one son, R.W. Pryon of Crosbyton; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Beckham of Crosbyton; two brothers, W.L. (Bill) Parker of Crosbyton and Odis Parker of Waco; two grandchildren, Bobby Beckham of Crosbyton and Betty Hawkins of Levelland; and three great grandchildren, Monty and Randy Beckham and Bobby Dale Layton.
The former Ellen Nancy Parker was born Nov. 24, 1883 in Arkansas. She had been a Crosbyton resident since Dec. 19, 1919, moving here from Waco.
