A resident of Crosby County for 50 years, Jesse L. Proctor, was buried Friday afternoon in Crosbyton Cemetery following 3 p.m. memorial services in the Crosbyton Church of Christ.

Bill Bryant, minister of the Parkway Church of Christ in Lubbock, assisted by local minister Roger Turner, conducted the funeral. King Funeral home directed arrangements.

Mr. Proctor, 87, was claimed by death about 2:20 p.m. last Wednesday in Crosbyton Hospital.

A retired farmer, he was born in Bowie.

He is survived by his wife, Ophelia; one son, Richard Proctor of Crosbyton; five daughters, Mrs. Ray L. Allen, Mrs. R.B. Williams, Mrs. Opal Clark and Dorothy Proctor, all of San Antonio, and Mrs. Arnold Reynolds of Lytle; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
