County Clerk-Elect Dies at Crosbyton

CROSBYTON. Texas, Nov. 12.- L R. Powell, one of the beat known of the early settlers of Crosby County, died at his home In Crosbyton after a week's illness with pneumonia. He was a member of a number of fraternal organizations. being an active Mason ant Odd Fellow. He was president of: the school board, president of the Citizens' National Bank and was elected District and County Clerk of Crosby County In the recent election.
