Services for Mrs. L.M. Powell Sr., 83, of 3505 E. 4th St., Lubbock, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Primitive Baptist Church in Crosbyton.

Officiating will be Elder W.R. Dale, assisted by Elder L.M. Handley. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Home in Lubbock.

Mrs. Powell died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday in Ray´s Convalescent Home here. A resident of Lubbock since 1945, she moved here from Floydada.

She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church here.

Survivors include three sons, L.M. Powell Jr., and Byron Powell, both of Ralls, and Hersel Powell of 4016 38th St.; a stepson, Henry Powell of Garland; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd Lawson of Floydada, Mrs. Arthur Bass of 3016 Amherst St., and Mrs. Austin Herman of Muleshoe; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Kennedy of Fort Worth, Mrs. Wade Sumrow of 2603 1st St. and Mrs. L.W. Parker of 2709 Baylor; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
