Mary PenaCROSBYTON (Special) — Services for Mary Ann Pena, 58, of Crosbyton will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Crosbyton Church of Christ with Filberto Nava and Juan Martinez officiating.

Burial in Crosbyton Cemetery will be directed by Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pena died Wednesday, March 23, 1994, in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

She was born on June 15, 1935, in Bertram and married Dee O. Pena Sr. on Jan. 17, 1953, in Clairemont. She moved in 1968 to Crosbyton, where she was employed by the Crosbyton School System and was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband; five sons, Dee Jr. and Joe, both of Waco, Carlos and T.O. both of Crosbyton, and Ralph of Round Rock; two daughters, Janie Hernandez of Lubbock and Wanda J. Knutson of Waco; three brothers, Carmen Gonzales, Oscar Gonzales and Blas Gonzales, all of Lampasas; two sisters, Felipa Salazar of Burnett and Inez Ochoa of El Paso; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Dee Pena Mr. Dee O. Peņa, Sr., 73, of Lubbock was lovingly called by his Heavenly Father on July 14, 2009. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with Minister Filiberto Nava officiating. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 p.m. today at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Mr. Peņa was born on November 5, 1935 to Dionicio and Trinidad Peņa in Old Glory, Texas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Peņa.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 14 years, Irene Peņa, of Lubbock; nine children; Janie A. Hernandez, Dee Peņa, Jr., Carlos Peņa, Joe J. Peņa and David (Regina) Zuniga, all of Lubbock, Wanda J. (Larry) Knutson of Waco, Ralph (Becky) Peņa of Round Rock, T. O. (Erma) of Crosbyton and Sandra (Mark) Massey of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Ann Ledesma of Aspermont and Allene (Joe) Castro of Lubbock; and two brothers, James (Linda) Peņa of Aspermont and Chris (Luisa) Peņa of Hamlin.
