Obituary

Funeral services for Joe Parks, 79, Crosbyton, were held at 4 p.m. Friday in First Methodist Church at Crosbyton.

Mr. Bill Kent, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery.

Parks was executive director of the housing authority. He died July 4 in Crosbyton Hospital after a week´s illness. A native of LaMoille, Ill., Parks moved to Crosbyton in 1909 as a bookkeeper for the C.B. Livestock Co. He later served as cashier in one of the early banks and as secretary treasurer of the Crosbyton National Farm Loan Assn.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leota Parks, and a brother, L.F. Parks, Knoxville, Ill.
