Rosary for Pablo H. Ovalle, Sr., 88, of Lubbock, formerly of Crosbyton will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006 in the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, February 13, 2006 in the same church with Father Jesse Cruz officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mr. Ovalle passed away Friday, February 10, 2006 at Southwest Regional Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born January 25, 1918 in Floresville, Texas to the late Jose and Emily (Hernandez) Ovalle. On August 18, 1944 he married Bessie Rodriquez in San Antonio. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a farmer and a member of the San Jose Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by 2 sons, Joe Ovalle who died Sept. 10, 1982 and Pablo Ovalle, Jr. who died Feb. 13, 2002.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie Ovalle of Lubbock, 3 sons, Gilbert Ovalle and Luis Angel Ovalle, both of Lubbock and Paul Anthony Murrillo of Tahoka, 5 daughters, Julia Ovalle of Dallas, Rachel Gomez and Lydia Martinez both of Lubbock, Gabina Ovalle of Fort Worth and Sandra Guerrero of Abilene, 2 sisters, Tomasa Lopez and Julia Sanchez, both of San Antonio, 28 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. Serving as casket bearers will be Joe Ovalle, Jr., J. D. Ovalle, Lee Anthony Ovalle, Joe Luis Ovalle, Gilbert Ovalle, Jr., Rolando Aguayo, Phillip Gomez and Joe Louis Martinez.

Bessie OvalleLUBBOCK- Bessie Ovalle joined her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Odyssey Hospice surrounded by her loving family. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Rene Perez officiating. Burial will be at Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

She was born to Catarino and Gabina Rodriguez on April 15, 1929 in Sugarland, Texas, where she lived until the age of twelve. She later moved to San Antonio where she met and married Pablo Ovalle on August 18, 1944. In 1966 they moved to Crosbyton where they lived for thirty years. During her life in Crosbyton she was a member of San Jose Catholic Church where she was a Guadalupana. Bessie made many life time friends and enjoyed many skip-bo and loteria games. She and her husband moved to Lubbock in 1996.

Bessie will be greatly missed by her four daughters, Julie Ovalle of Irving, Rachel Gomez, Lydia Martinez and Gabina Berbeja all of Lubbock; three sons, Gilbert Ovalle and Luis Angel Ovalle of Lubbock and Paul Anthony Murillo of Slaton; 29 grandchildren; and a handful of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Ovalle, Sr. and two sons, Joe and Pablo Ovalle Jr.
