Rosary for Ruben Osuna, 64, of Crosbyton was held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 13, and Wednesday, Apr. 14, 1999 in San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton.Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 15, 1999, in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Glenn Rosendale officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died Sunday, April 11, 1999, in University Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born April 23, 1934, in Ecleto. He married Reyes Moreno on Sept. 7, 1953, in Pana Maria. She died Jan. 15, 1999. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church, where he was in the Men´s Club, and he was a lay minister. He was a farmer. He moved to Crosbyton from Ecleto in 1967.
Survivors include four sons, Ernest of Moulton, Ala., Ruben of Clarendon, Albert of Slaton and Hector of Amarillo; a daughter, Maria Hernandez of Lubbock; and 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Rene of San Antonio and Raul of Karnes City; four sisters, Lupe Rivas of El Campo, Estella Reyna of San Angelo, Sally Mendoza of Helena and Rosa Barrientez of Karnes City.
Pall Bearers were: Kevin Osuna, Brian Osuna, Jason Osuna, Steven Osuna, Nathan Osuna, Ryan Hernandez, Jimmy Mendoza and Ramiro Rivas.
The family suggests memorials to the San Jose Mission Fund.
