Myrtle Nickson

CROSBYTON (Special) — Graveside services for Myrtle Ida Nickson, 88, of Lubbock will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor of Crosbyton First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nickson died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday in Lubbock´s University Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Arkansas and moved to Lubbock from Crosbyton in 1984. She married Neal Murphy in 1923. He died in 1948. She married Carl Nickson on Dec. 26, 1949, in Clovis, NM. He died on Nov. 5, 1982. She was a member of First Baptist Church. A son, Dale Murphy, died on March 10, 1993.

Survivors include two brothers, Aubrey Marlar and Horace Marlar, both of Hico; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
