U.S.Flag CROSBYTON (Special) Sevices will be held at 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church for Hugh Edward Nation, 70, who died Friday afternoon at a local hospital.

Officiating will be the Rev. Ernest Stewart Jr. and the Rev. Richard Horn of Spur. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetey under directon of Carter Funeral Home, Ralls.

Nation had lived in Crosbyton since 1926. He was a former chief of the volunteer fire department, former manager of the power and light company and owned and operated the West Texas Gin Company.

He was a past president of the Volunteer Fireman´s Association of Texas, past commander of the American Legion Post and a past president of the Crosbyton Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, two brothers, two sisters, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
