Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Ellis Carl "Buck" Nance, 81, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. today at Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Griffin, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Nance died Thursday, June 20, 1996, at St. Mary Hospital.

He was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Carlton. He married Altha Jackson on Aug. 24, 1935, in Ralls. He was a member of Crosbyton First Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge 39 of Melrose, NM, the Federal Land Bank board in Clovis, NM, and the Farm Bureau in Akron, Colo.

He was a farmer in Cope, Colo., and he worked in the custom business for 27 years and the seed and feed business for 23 years.

Survivors include his wife; and three sisters, Hortense Jackson of Cone, Dean Verett of Ralls and Rachel Nance of Floydada.
