Services for Elder Oscar C. Moyers, 94, of Crosbyton were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 14, 1989, in the Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church with Huland Bass, Primitive Baptist Elder of Lubbock, George Johnson, Primitive Baptist Elder of Idalou and his grandson, Ronnie Brunson, Minister of New Covenant Church of Plainview, officiating.
Burial followed in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mr. Moyers died at 8:03 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 11, 1989, in Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lubbock following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Goin, Tennessee Oct. 30, 1894, and married Mabel Moyers Feb. 11, 1920, in Crosbyton. He was a brick mason, a member and elder of the Primitive Baptist Church and a member of the Veterans Foreign Wars, serving in the U.S. Army in WWI. He moved to Crosbyton in 1919 from Tennessee.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Moyers of Crosbyton; four sons, Billy Moyers of Dimmitt, James H. Moyers of Carlsbad, NM, Trouville Moyers of Amarillo and Durwood Moyers of Crosbyton; four daughters, Hettie Mann of Amarillo, Nettie Ann Brunson of Corona, NM, Luseal McGee of Pasadena, TX, Mary Beth Doss of Lubbock; one brother, Levi Moyers of Monroe, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Mable Moyers, 90, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Crosbyton Primitive Baptist Church with Hulan Bass and George Johnson officiating.
The Rev. Ron Brunson, the Rev. David Brunson and the Rev. Allen Brunson will assist.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Crosbyton Care Center.
She was born Dec. 20, 1904, in Seymour and married Oscar Clarence Moyers Feb. 11, 1920, in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death March 11. 1989. She was a homemaker and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Crosbyton. She moved to Crosbyton in 1908 from Seymour.
Survivors include four sons; Billy Moyers of Dimmitt, James Moyers of Carlsbad, Trouville Moyers of Amarillo and Durwood Moyers of Crosbyton; four daughters, Hettie Mann of Amarillo, Nettie Ann Brunson of Corona, Luseal McGee of Pasadena and Mary Beth Doss of Lubbock; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
