Obituary

William (Bill) A. Moyers 85, of Dimmitt passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007 in Lubbock. Funeral Services were Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Crosbyton Cemetery in Crosbyton, Texas. Arrangements were handled by Colonial Funeral Home in Dimmitt.

Bill was born August 23, 1921 in Crosbyton, Texas to Oscar C. and Mable Moyers. He worked as a brick mason for many years. He was a WWII Veteran in the Army. He maried Billie C. Chappell in Crosbyton before moving to Dimmitt in 1962.

He is survived by his wife Billie Boyers of Dimmitt; 1 son, William Boyd Moyers of Baird, Texas; 2 brothers, Clarence T. Moyers of Amarillo and James H. Moyers of Carlsbad, NM; 3 sisters, Hettie Mann of Amarillo, Nettie Ann Brunson of Corona, NM, and Mary Beth Doss of Lubbock. 3 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by 1 sister, Lucille McGee and 1 brother, Durwood Moyers.

DIMMITT � Billie C. Moyers, 84, of Dimmitt died Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Dimmitt with the Rev. Clint Young and Ronnie Brunson officiating. Burial will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery in Crosbyton. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Mrs. Moyers was born May 15, 1928, in Crosbyton to Brad and Attie Smith Chappell. She was employed with the Dimmitt Independent School District in the cafeteria for many years until her retirement.

Survivors include a son, William Boyd Moyers of Baird; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Virginia Matthew of Dallas.
