Funeral services for Eva Casanova Mosqueda, 81, of Lubbock will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at Ministerios Nueva Vida with Rev. Jesus Cisneros officiating. Evening service will be 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at Ministerios Nueva Vida. Burial will be at Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
Mrs. Mosqueda passed away on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 at Mi Casita Nursing Home. She was born on Oct. 26, 1926 in Runge. She married Gonzalo A. Mosqueda on March 18, 1943 in Karnes City. Mrs. Mosqueda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gonzalo A. Mosqueda; two sons, Antonio and Jimmy Mosqueda; two daughters, Juanita Medina and Frances Salazar.
Survivors include her daughters, Amelia Vigil, Monica Salinas, Maria Sanchez, Mary Ann Rodriguez, Sofia Silvas, Adela Cineros, Josie Vargas; one son, Gonzalo Mosqueda Jr.; two grandsons she raised as her own, Jimmy Salazar and Joe Manuel Salazar; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at Ministerios Nueva Vida.
