Services Held Saturday For Mrs. Morton, 68
Funeral services for Mrs. Gertie Estell Morton, 68, of Ralls, were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Ralls First Baptist Church. Rev. C. M. Fields, pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. E. C. Chron, Plainview. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.Mrs. Morton died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday in a Lubbock hospital following a long illness.
The mother of Mrs. Richard Proctor of this city, Mrs. Morton moved to Crosbyton with her family in 1915 from Lamar County. They moved to Ralls in 1936 where she had lived since.
Besides Mrs. Proctor, survivors include her husband, D. T. Morton; a son, Elmer Ray Morton, Ralls; another daughter, Miss Stella Morton, Lubbock, and one grandson.
