Margaret entered this world on July 15, 1924 in Annona, TX. She was welcomed by her parents, Henry Luther and Gertrude Storey Wolf and eight siblings. She went to be with her Lord on September 7, 2016. Family graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, in the Crosbyton cemetery, and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Crosbyton, TX. In 1942, she married G.B. Morris in Childress, TX and established their home in Kalgary, TX. They moved from Kalgary to McAdoo in 1948 and remained there until moving to Crosbyton in 1963. They were dedicated to making a living by cotton farming, which continues today through their sons and great-grandson. After 39 years of marriage, G.B. passed away. After a couple of years, Margaret married Joe McGlaun and they spent 32 years together in Ransom Canyon and Lubbock, TX. Joe and Margaret were both volunteers at Covenant Hospital and received great satisfaction from this service.
Margaret was always an active member of the Baptist churches in Kalgary, McAdoo and Crosbyton. She is well remembered as a special Sunday school teacher. Margaret was an avid bridge player and was a member of several bridge clubs. One of her greatest joys in life was raising her three sons, Larry, Lance and Phil, and being involved in all of their activities from being a cub scout den mother, to best supporter of the McAdoo Indians Little League and Eagles basketball teams, to the Crosbyton Chieftain football and basketball teams. She later attended as many activities as possible for her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents, Luther and Gertrude; her brothers, John, Bill, Henry and Gene; and a sister, Lottie.
She is survived by her three sons: Larry Morris and wife, Mary of Lubbock; Lance Morris and wife, Jane; and Phil and wife, Bessie all of Crosbyton. She is also survived by three sisters: Zona Barnes of Lubbock, Jo Mumford of Pampa, and Juanell Wolf of Amarillo. Her lineage will be carried on through her 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to especially thank the staff at Carillon House and Hospice of Lubbock for their loving care.
