Obituary

Rosary for Tomasa Guerra Moreno, 85, of Crosbyton was held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, 1997 in the San Jose Catholic Church with Rev. Sapho Chavez, pastor of San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton, officiating. Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 1997 in the same church with the same officiant. Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Moreno died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 1997 in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital following an illness. She was born Dec. 29, 1911 in Bastrop, Texas and married Epifano Gonzales Moreno Feb. 17, 1930 in Ecleto, TX. He preceded her in death August 19, 1981. She was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church. She moved to the Crosbyton area from Kennedy, TX

Survivors include seven sons, Alfred Moreno and Raymond Moreno both of Lubbock, Gilbert Moreno of Post, Eddie Moreno of Compo, TX, Albert Moreno of Idalou and Federico Moreno of Slaton; 4 daughters, Lydia Rodriquez of Sequin, Rayes Osuna of Crosbyton, Tommie Rodriquez of Slaton and Irene Cantu of Lubbock; five brothers, Domingo Guerra and Maruo Guerra both of Comanche, Pancho Guerra of Beeville, TX, Julio Guerra of Amarillo, and Ramiro Guerra of Plainview; one sister, Beatrice Rivas of San Angelo; 48 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Sons served as pallbearers.
