RALLS (Special) -Rosary for Robert Luis Moreno, 14, of Ralls, was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 6, 1997, in the St. Michael´s Catholic Church with Deacon Tony Flores officiating. Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 1997, in Crosbyton´s San Jose Catholic Church with Rev. Timothy Judd officiating.Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Moreno died Wednesday afternoon, June 4, 1997, in Lubbock´s Methodist Children´s Center following an accident at the Ralls Swimming Pool. He was born June 2, 1983, in Lubbock and had just finished the 7th grade at Ralls Middle School where he was involved in the band. He was a member of the St. Michael´s Catholic Church in Ralls and had lived in Ralls all his life.
He is survived by his mother, Eufemia Villlba of Ralls; his grandmother, Tressia Moreno of Ralls; three brothers, Manuel Vilalba, Raymon Villalba and Diego Villalba, all of Ralls; and one sister, Christina Villalba, also of Ralls. Casket bearers were Joseph Morales, Luis Duran, Mark Duran, Phillip Palacios, Gary Jimenez, and John Moncebaiz.
