Services for Alvesta Dean "Don" Moore, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 at Galilee Baptist Church in Crosbyton with Rev. Billy Wiley officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Don passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Crosbyton Nursing Home. He was born February 4, 1954 in Odessa to Albert Earl "Sonny" and Lillian Burgess Moore. He moved to Crosbyton from Kosse when he was ten years old. He worked as a fire extinguisher technician.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sonny Moore; brother, Anthony Moore; and a twin sister, Amelia Moore. Survivors include his mother, Lillian Moore of Crosbyton; four brothers, Ivan Gene Moore of Abilene, Grady "Blake" Moore, and Marvin Moore both of San Antonio, Kelly DuBose of Dallas; eight sisters, Linda Burgess of Houston, Marian Moore, Vickie Moore, Betty Moore, and Rosetta DuBose all of Dallas, Ruby Campbell of Richardson, Pamela Bowen of Lancaster, Nicole Jackson of Melissa; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 from at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.
