Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) — Services for Allen Mize, 83, of Crosbyton will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Crosbyton Church of Christ with Joseph Johnston and William Eudy officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mize died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 1994, in Lubbock´s St. Mary Hospital.

He was born on May 13, 1910, in Gordon. He married Emma Ruth Buie on Feb.27, 1936, in Ralls. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ, where he was an elder. A daughter, Pat Nickson, died on Sept. 19, 1984, and a son, Wilbur Allen, died on Oct. 26, 1988.

Survivors include his wife; five brothers, Eldred of Crosbyton, Fred of Red Oak, Lewis of Lubbock, Lawrence of Vista, Calif., and Raymond D. of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Gladys Noble of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be D. J. Moses, Don Parker, Chet Dye, Brooks Ellison, Jackie Mize and Clyde Ellison.

The family suggests memorials to the White River Youth Camp, Box 96, Crosbyton, Texas 73922.
