Obituary

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday for Raymond G. Mitchell in the Crosbyton Church of Christ. Bill Bryant, minister of the Parkway Church of Christ in Lubbock, officiated.

Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home handled local arrangements.

Mr. Mitchell, 65, a former Crosbyton area resident, succumbed about 1 a.m. Sunday in a Denton hospital following an extended illness.

A Hill County native, Mitchell moved to Crosby County in 1938 and resided in this community until moving in 1959 to Sanger. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Standifer, of Lewisville and Mrs. Nelda Martin of Sanger; two sons, Billy Ray Mitchell of Fort Worth and Jerry Wayne Mitchell of Sanger; five brothers, Howard of Plainview, W. R. Elmer, Vernon and Henry Mitchell, all of Crosbyton; one sister, Mrs. John Himmell of Hillsboro; and 10 grandchildren.
