Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Minnie Lee Mitchell, 87, of Crosbyton will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Griffin, pastor, officiating.

Burial in Crosbyton Cemetery will be directed by Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mitchell died Thursday, March 3, 1994, in St. Mary Hospital in Lubbock.

She was born in Jonesboro on April 16 1906, and married Willard Mitchell in Itasca on Aug. 9, 1923. He preceded her in death. She came to Crosby County in 1946 from Texas City. She was a homemaker and a member of Crosbyton Assembly of God Church. Two sons, James and Weldon, and a daughter, Betty Mae Mitchell, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Gary of Crosbyton and Vance of Floydada; two daughters, La Verne Stewart of Crosbyton and Mary Bowen of Midland; a brother, Ira Hamilton of Woodville; a sister, Effie Evans of Galveston; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Cleo Simmons, John Pinkston, Jacky Dewbre, David Stewart, Mike Mitchell and Kevin Tarver.
