Billy Ray Mitchell, 77, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009. Service: 10 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in Arlington. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Rd. Chapel.Billy was born March 5, 1932, in Hill County. Billy was a member and former deacon of Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan, and his parents.
Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Edith; daughters, Brenda Harlow and husband, Tom, Sherri Clark and husband, Dale; son, Dennis Mitchell; grandsons, Chris and Curtis Harlow and Sgt. Michael Clark; granddaughters, Kelly Prickett, Amy Fernengel, Laura and Hannah Clark; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Mitchell; sisters, Nelda Martin and Wilma Standifer.

Edith Bales Mitchell, 75, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011, in Arlington. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ, 6102 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd., Arlington.
Interment: Crosbyton Cemetery, Crosbyton. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington.
Edith was born Jan. 21, 1936, in Crosbyton to Everett and Ruby Carson Bales. She was a longtime resident of Fort Worth and worked as the church secretary at Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. Edith's favorite color was purple and enjoyed collecting giraffes. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Mitchell, in 2009; and daughter, Susan Renee Mitchell.
Survivors: Son, Dennis Mitchell; daughters, Brenda Harlow (Tom) and Sherri Clark (Dale); brother, Gene Bales; sister, Barbara Stone; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
