CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Elmer R. Mitchell, 84, of Burleson will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Church of Christ with Vance Mitchell, pastor of Floydada First Assembly of God Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mitchell died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1996, in Hugley Hospital in Fort Worth.
He was born Jan. 31, 1912, in Hill County. He married Era Maye Curry on Oct. 6, 1934, in Hillsboro.
He was a retired farmer. He worked for Crosbyton Independent School District in the maintenance department. A daughter, LaWanda Joyce, and two infant children preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Ronald of Hillsboro, John and Tommy, both of Burleson, and James of Lubbock; four daughters, Shirley Little of Alvarado, Judy Culbertson of Itasca and Nickie Bartlett and Karen Ellis, both of Burleson; 22 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
