Josie Minor, 69, of Abernathy passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 19, 1946 in Bay City, Michigan to Daniel and Teresa (Hernandez) Rodriguez. She married Joe Minor Sr. on October 1, 1967 in Crosbyton, Texas. She was a Guadalupana and a Crucillista. She enjoyed fishing, enjoyed making quilts for her family and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She loved cooking for her family and especially enjoyed the time she got to spend with them on holidays.
Josie is survived by her husband Joe Minor Sr. of Abernathy, four sons; Joe Minor Jr., and Armando Minor, both of Abernathy; Billy Joe Minor of McKinney; Bobby Joe Minor of Dallas; her brother, Domingo Rodriguez of California; six sisters; Bridget Canales of Idalou; Francis Salas of Lubbock; Ramona Salas of Crosbyton; Teresa Zundt of Crosbyton; Lupe Rivera of Graham; and Sarah Vigil of San Antonio. Josie also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9 at San Jose Catholic Church, with burial following in Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
