Obituary

Mondell Mills PictureServices for Mondell Mills, 72, of Crosbyton were held Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998 in Crosbyton First United Methodist church with the Rev. Beth Harrington of Farwell officiating.

Burial was in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, at 2:02 p.m. at Lubbock´s St. Mary Hospital.

Mills was born on Sept. 18, 1925, in Knox County. He married Mary Logan on Nov. 2, 1943, in Anson. She died Dec. 1, 1994. He was a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church. He was a former gin manager and feed yard manager at Lockney and Littlefield and was the manager of the American Cotton Growers in Crosbyton until his retirement. He was a member of the Crosbyton Masonic Lodge #1020. He served in the Army in WWII. He moved to Crosbyton in 1978 from Littlefield.

Survivors include two daughters Nancy Mills of Tyler, and Pam Cooley of Irving; two brothers, J.C.Mills of Abernathy, and Quincy Mills of Yucca Valley, CA; one sister, Geneva Bailey of Plainview; and two grandchildren.
