Funeral Services For Mina Mills Held Saturday

Funeral services for Mina Mills, 72, were held in the First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. In ill health for five years, she died at 9 p.m., March 7, two days after entering Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

Dr. Dudley Strain, pastor of the First Christian Church of Lubbock, officiated. Assisting were Rev. Otis Testerman, pastor, and Richard Horn, Plainview, a great nephew of Miss Mills.

Born in DeKalb, Oct. 29, 1890, Mina Mills had served as county clerk in Bowie county. After working in a Dallas abstract firm for several years, she moved to Lubbock in 1951 where she worked in the clerk´s office until her retirement in 1958.

She had resided here with a sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Nation, since retirement. Other survivors include a niece, Mina Horn, Bowie, and three grand nephews.

Interment was in Crosbyton cemetery.
