Mrs. Emma Meek is death victim

Last rites for Mrs. Emma Meek, 92, were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 17, in Crosbyton First Methodist Church, Mr. Bill Kent, pastor, officiated assisted by Mr. Guy Burton of the Assembly of God Church. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery.

Mrs. Meek died Jan. 15, in a Lubbock rest home. She was born Emma D. Cook, a native of Parker County she and her late husband, R. D. Meek came to Crosby County in 1922. Mrs. Meek was the mother of 10 children.

Surviving her are five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Wirt, Quanah; Mrs. Ellen Johnson, Ralls; Mrs. Ola Cook, Crockett; Mrs. Clara Etter, Dallas; Mrs. Morene Wallace, Crosbyton; three sons, E. T. Weatherford; Jeff, Ralls, and Robert, Brownfield, 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
