Obituary

Services for Frances G. Medina, 91, of Crosbyton were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, at Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Asuncion Sanchez, pastor of Temple Elim Assembly of God Church in Crosbyton officiating, and the Rev. John Silva, pastor of the Mission Baptist Church of Crosbyton assisting.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

She was born Dec. 3, 1907, in Monterrey, Mexico. She married Samuel Medina on April 14, 1936, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a member of the Templo Elim Assembly of God Church in Crosbyton and the WMU of the Church. She moved to Crosbyton in 1959 from Florida.

She is preceded in death by a son, Pete Osuna, who died in 1997, by a daughter, Ramona Medina, who died July 3, 1994, and by one brother, Elias Garza, and by two sisters, Rebecca Garza and Asuncion (Chona) Bustamante.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel Medina of Crosbyton; three daughters, Elida Mendez and Petra Rendon, both of Crosbyton, Sophia Moreno of Lubbock, and Joyce Meyers Brown of Atlanta, GA; three sons Joe Medina of Crosbyton; State District Judge Sam Medina of Lubbock, and Frank Medina of Olton; 49 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Templo Elim Women´s Ministry in Crosbyton.
