Services for Marcos Medellin, Sr., 75, of Crosbyton will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2011 at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton with Rev. Ernesto Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Rosary will be at 7 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the same church.
Marcos passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 in Lubbock. He was born November 7, 1935 in Palmillas Tamaulipas, Mexico to Angel and Eustolia (Campeon) Medellin. Marcos married Raimunda (Lopez) Medellin February 13, 1960 in Ralls.
He is survived by his wife, Raimunda Medellin of Crosbyton, one son and his wife, Marcos Jr. and Norma Medellin of Lubbock, three daughters and their husbands, Sylvia and Jerry Pereida, Rebecca and Juan Jr. Palacios both of Crosbyton, Stella and Abel Martinez of Lubbock, two brothers, Exiquio Medellin of Houston, Manuel Medellin of Brownsville, seven grandchildren, Jerry Lee and Lori Pereida, Mark Pereida, Monica Martinez, Rebekah Medellin, Marcos Medellin III, Leila Palacios, and one great grandchild, Emily Pereida.
Serving as casket bearers will be Jerry Lee Pereida, Gabriel Rivas, Greg Medina, Mario Medellin, Exiquio Medellin, and Marcos Medellin, III. Honorary casket bearer is Mark Pereida.
