Mrs. W. A. (Rella) McPherson of Lubbock, a former resident of this community, was buried last Wednesday in Crosbyton Cemetery following 2 p.m. services at First Baptist Church in Lubbock. She was 97.Graveside services were at 3:30.
Mrs. McPherson died at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, in the Lubbock Nursing Home following a prolonged illness.
In 1971, the family moved to Crosbyton. The McPhersons made their home in this community until she and her husband moved in 1941 to Lubbock. Her husband died in 1949.
Survivors include two sons, J. B. McPherson of Lubbock and Leon McPherson of Idalou; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Barker of Levelland and Mrs.Hazel Sheely of Lubbock; a sister, Mrs. Russell Langford of Cleburne; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
