U.S.Flag   Bernie McMillanB.E. "Bernie Mac" McMillan passed from this life on Friday, June 7, 2013. A gathering of fellowship and remembrance was held from 6 to 7 p.m., on June 9, 2013, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A service to celebrate his life of 81 years was held on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 11 am, at Monterey Baptist Church, 3601 50th Street, Lubbock. Graveside services were held that same afternoon at the Crosbyton cemetery in Crosbyton, texas.

Bernie was born December 13, 1931 in Meadow, Texas to W.D. and Maudie McMillan. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1955. Bernie married Bennie Marie Tyler on April 5, 1952 in the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, texas. He retired from Southwestern Public Service, following 33 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. Bernie was a member of the Monterey Baptist Church, serving as a deacon since 1972. He was a long time church greeter and bus driver for youth mission trips. Bernie enjoyed entertaining children with balloon art and leather crafting for 40 years.

Survivors include: his wife of 61 years Bennie Marie, a daughter Patty Wells (Husband - Bobby) Grandchildren Jeremy Wells (wife-Kristen), Ben Wells (wife-Allison), Crystal Armes (husband-Kris), Great Grandchildren, Jarek Wells, Kasen Wells, Landry Wells, Lillie Marie Wells; a sister, Nonie McMillan

Memorial contributions were welcomed and the family suggested the Monterey Baptist Chruch, Children's Ministry, 3601 50th Street, Lubbock, texas 79413 or the Industrial Lion's Club Eye Bank.
