Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Nellie Ruth McCoy, 62, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Galilee Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Wiley, a Baptist minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCoy died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary of the Plains Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Brandon and moved to Crosbyton in 1935. She was a graduate of Dunbar High school, a housewife and a member of the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church. She married Mack McCoy on June 25, 1974, in Crosbyton. A son, Larry Carter, died on May 8, 1974.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Marian Davis of Lubbock, Charles Frater of Crosbyton and Michael McCoy, Scottie McCoy and Kenneth McCoy, all of Crosbyton; two daughters, Willie Blue of Lindale and Peggy Williams of Crosbyton; a sister, Blanchie Fay Posley of Waco; and 15 grandchildren.
