Graveside services for Estelle "Mazie" Maze, 87, of Lubbock were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. John Ballard officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

She died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at IHS Hospital in Lubbock.

She was born May 20, 1915, in Ballinger, TX.

She married James Alton Maze on Nov. 17, 1932, in Spur, TX. He died March 29, 1976.

She was a member of the Baptist church, the Downtown Bible Class and the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked at Furr´s Cafeteria for several years. She moved to Lubbock in 1960 from Morton.

She is preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Brent Maze, on Aug. 2, 1980, and a great-granddaughter, Monica Maze, in October 1996.

Survivors include a son, Euclid and his wife Shirley of Lubbock; a sister, Dortha Drennen of Morton; two grandchildren, Paula Lehew of Perryton and Mark Maze of San Jose, Costa Rica; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family received friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2002 at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home in Lubbock.
