J. A. MATTHEWS, 58, DIES AT L. GRIZZLE HOME AT KALGARY
Funeral Services Held Sunday and Burial Made in Cemetery Here
Dr. T. J. Cagle, county health officer and A. A. Hatchell, justice of the peace, held an inquest over the body of J. A. Matthws[sic],58, last Saturday morning at the home of Luke Grizzle in the Kalgary community.When attempting to rise Saturday morning at 7:30 o'clock Mr. Matthews fell dea. Verdict of the inquest was that he died of natural causes.
Funeral services were held Sunday evening at 2 p.m. by Elder F. S. Fance at the Grizzle home. He was buried in the Crosbyton cemetery Sunday evening at 4 p.m. under the direction of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, of which he was a member, with A. A. Hatchell, undertaker, in charge.
He is survived by a wife and 3 sons and two daughters, two sons and one daughter being present at the funeral. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
