RALLS — Rosary for Maria Eva Martinez, 78, of Lubbock will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Michael´s Catholic Church in Ralls.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton with the Rev. Michael O´Dwyer officiating and the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang assisting.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
She died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002.
She was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Portland, Texas. She married Juan Soto Martinez on March 24, 1943, in Sinton. He died Feb. 18, 1990. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lubbock and a homemaker. She moved to Lubbock in 1969 from Crosbyton.
She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel V., on March 28, 2002.
Survivors include a son, Thomas of Lubbock; two daughters, Irene Martinez of Lubbock and Minnie Padilla of St. Paul, Minn.; four sisters, Jacinta Perez, Louisa Lara, Lucia Medellin and Aurora Garcia, all of Sinton; two brothers, Julio Villanueva of Lubbock and Beto Villanueva of Sinton; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
