Services for Doris Mae Marley, 65, of McAdoo, were held at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 1990, in Crosbyton´s First Baptist Church with the Rev. H. C. Hester, pastor of Pansy Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died at 3:57 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 1990, in Lubbock´s University Medical Center from burns suffered January 13 at her McAdoo residence.
She was born June 2, 1924, in Girard and had lived in the McAdoo area since 1946. She married Alvin Roy Marley on Mar. 16, 1946, in Seminole. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pansy Baptist Church, the W.M.U. and the Wake Club. She taught Sunday School for several years and was the piano player and a substitute song leader at the church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Brenda Ivy of Muleshoe and Debra Ulm of Belleville, Ill.; a brother, Floyd Willis of Girard; two sisters, Tempie Arnold of Girard and Erma Key of Seminole; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bo Marley, Mike Marley, Jon Key, Randy Willis, Scott Walters, and Robert Walters.

Graveside services for Alvin Roy Marley, 86, of McAdoo were at 3:00 PM, Thursday, April 19, 2007 in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Clifford Trull officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. A. R. passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007 in North Runnels Hospital in Winters.
He was born July 18, 1920 in Crosby County to the late J. B and Lillie Mae (Spence) Marley. On March 16, 1946 A. R. married Doris Mae Willis in Seminole, Texas. She preceded him in death on January 26, 1990.
A. R. was a life long resident of the McAdoo area, a member of Pansy Baptist Church and a farmer. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands; Brenda and Fred Ivy of Laredo, Debra and Bill Ulm of Raleigh, NC, and four grandchildren.
