Obituary
Funeral rites for Mrs. Etha Jackson Mabe of Crosbyton were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Crosbyton Church of Christ. Glen Gray, the minister, officiated.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Dee Cash, C.D. Cash, Jack Hash, Bill Hash, Carrol Himmell, Jimmy Karr, and Ted Karr.
Mrs. Mabe was 80. She succumbed at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.
Born Sept. 16, 1901 in Timpson, Tex., the former Etha Jackson moved to Crosbyton with her family in 1916 from Hardeman County.
Mrs. Mabe had been a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ since she was 17.
Survivors include two sons, C.L. Smith of Lake Charles, La., and Claford M. Smith of Edna; one brother, Mack Jackson of Fountain, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Daisie Hutcheson of Idaho and Mrs. Bill Singltary of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
