Joseph LowrieU.S.Flag Services for Joseph E. Lowrie, 82, of Crosbyton was held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 16, 2006 in the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Les Griffin officiating. Burial was followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

He passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Joseph was born February 18, 1924 in Wheeler, Texas to the late Preston Edward and Ethel (Muse) Lowrie. On January 20, 1951 he married Wanda Lea "Todd" Kamm in Clovis, New Mexico.

He was a member of the Methodist Church. In 1947 he enrolled in Southwestern State University in Weatherford, OK where he was a pharmacy major. Joseph owned and operated Lowrie Drug in Crosbyton from 1953 to 1980. In 1972 he purchased the family ranch in Dickens. He was a member of the Crosbyton Masonic Lodge #1020 and the Crosbyton Chamber of Commerce. Joseph was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and received the purple heart.

Survivors include; his wife; Todd of Crosbyton, three sons; Marc of Amarillo, Cameron and his wife Kerrie of Crosbyton, Jeff of Dickens, a sister; Alice Faye Wilkins of Amarillo, three grandchildren; Erin Lowrie of Bella Vista, Ark., Jennifer Schultz of Irving and Matthew Lowrie of Bentonville, Ark.
