Services for Maria Lopez, 59, of Crosbyton will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Calvario Community Church with Rev. Luther Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow at the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
A graduate of Crosbyton High School, Maria worked for the Crosbyton Nursing home for 30 years, Crosbyton Clinic Hospital for 6 years, and did private home health for over 10 years. She was an awesome person who did almost anything for anyone. As years went by she was a strong Christian woman. She is preceded in death by her father, Jessie R. Sifuentes in 1989, and a sister, Adela S. Johnson in 2002. She has left many people who cherish her.
Survivors include her mother, Aurelia Sifuentes of Crosbyton, her husband, Fernando Lopez of Crosbyton, a daughter, Alicia Gomez of Idaho, seven sisters, Brenda Martinez (Gilbert) of Crosbyton, Patty Saldivar (Steve) of Lubbock, Margaret Garza (Juan) of Ralls, Elaine Velasquez of Ralls, Julia Castellon of San Antonio, Carmen Zamora (Ruben) of Yakima, WA, Rosalinda Smith (Bobby) of Vernon, seven brothers, Jessie Sifuentes Jr., Jose Sifuentes, and Antonio Sifuentes all of San Antonio, Balentine Sifuentes (Eudelia) and Moises Sifuentes (Christina) both of Crosbyton, Paul Sifuentes (Dina) and Mark Sifuentes, both of Lorenzo, and four grandchildren.
