CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for W. G. "Chubby" Long Sr., 73, of Crosbyton will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 3:16 p.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Whitewright and moved to Crosbyton in 1923. He was a welder and owned Long´s Industries. He married Vinnie Mae Ballard on Aug. 11, 1934, in Guthrie. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Myrtle Long of Crosbyton; three sons, Jimmy and W. G. Jr., both of Crosbyton and Gene of Barstow, Calif.; a brother, Harold of Midland; three sisters, Margie Cahill of Austin, Mabel Parker of Pampa and Owna Bell Long of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Buzz Parkhill, T. W. Stockton, Allen Crausbay, J. W. Wood, Jimmy Dunn and Bob Hardin.
