Graveside services for Myrtle Viers Long, 99, of Crosbyton were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 26, 1989 in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Carrol Robertson, a Church of Christ minister of Crosbyton, officiating.

Burial was under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Long died at 5:35 p.m. Friday, December 22, 1089 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born October 15, 1890 in Eastland County, Texas and married Luther C. Long December 5, 1906 in McKinney, Texas. She moved to McAdoo in 1923. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were 5 sons and 2 daughters: W. G. Long, Sr., Claude Long, L. C. Long, Jr. James Alvin Long, Billie Wane Long, Geraldine Long Fowler and Beulah Victoria Long Hutchings.

Survivors include: 1 son, Harold C. Long of Midland; 3 daughters, Margie Cahill of Roundrock, Texas, Mabel Parker of Pampa and Owna Bell Long of Whitewright, Texas; 2 daughters-in-law, Vennie Mae Long of Crosbyton, Susie Long of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
