Mittie Littlefield CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Mittie E. Littlefield, 93, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wendell Horn, pastor, and Rev. Johnnie Williams, a retired Methodist minister from Lubbock, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Littlefield died at 7:11 a.m. Friday in Crosbyton Care Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Ryan, Okla., and married John M. Olen Littlefield on June 11, 1923, in Los Angeles, Calif. He died in 1969. She graduated from Childress High School and had worked for the U.S. Postal Service and Plains Mercantile in Crosbyton. She had lived in California. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Wesleyan Service Club, United Methodist Women, Order of the Eastern Star and Senior Harmony Club. A son, John Henry, died in 1929.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Beth Berry of Austin; two brothers, Clyde Sherwood of Abilene and Fred Sherwood of Childress; five sisters, Bess Haltom of Crosbyton, Mary Jane Heath and Janet Wright, both of Childress, Nadine Morgan of Olney and Helen Crews of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Berry, Paul Nagle, Compton Cornelius, Willie Smith, John Will Stewart and Lee Suther.
