U.S.Flag CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Joe W. Lemonds, 68, of Crosbyton are pending with Adams Funeral Home here.

He died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a brief illness.

Born Jan. 6, 1915, in Whitlock, Tenn., he married Doris Gregg March 26, 1956, in Portales, N.M. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a real estate agent and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 1020 and a former member of the Crosbyton Lions Club.

He moved to the Crosbyton area in 1951 from Durant, Okla.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ann Harrison of Las Cruces, N.M.; a son, Allen Crausbay of Crosbyton; two brothers, Doris of Tulsa, Okla., and Bill of Atlanta; and four grandchildren.
