CROSBYTON (Special) - Masonic graveside services for Curtis Leatherwood, 58, of Lubbock were held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 26, 1997,in the Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Marley, pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Duncanville, officiating.Burial was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Leatherwood died at 9:28 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997, in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital.He was born Feb. 13, 1939, in Lubbock. He married Carolyn Holcomb on April 21, 1960, in Crosbyton. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 1020. He graduated from Crosbyton High School and attended Wayland Baptist University and Texas Tech University. He moved to Lubbock from Crosbyton in 1964.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Leatherwood who died in 1974.
He was a retired sergeant with the Texas Tech University Police Department.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles of Lubbock; his mother, Lottie Leatherwood of Crosbyton; a sister, Janelle Sellers of Ralls; and two grandsons.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
