Services for Johnnie Clarence Largent, 79, of Midland were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 1987 in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Seigler, pastor of First Baptist Church of Albuquerque, N.M., officiating.

Masonic graveside services were in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Largent died Wednesday, March 11, 1987 in Midland Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Booneville, Arkansas and grew up in Wise County and the Lubbock area. He moved to Pampa in 1940 and to Midland in 1975. He married Vina Mosely on November 21, 1928 in Floydada. He worked 25 years for Kerr-McGee Corporation, retiring in 1972. He was a member and past master of the Midland Masonic Lodge No.1414 and a 32nd Degree Mason in El Paso. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Midland.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bill of Dallas and Dale of Alvin, Texas; 1 brother, Bill Norris of Floydada; two sisters, Oleta Faye Potts of California; and Eva Mae Siegler of Springdale, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
